Dear freshman students,

The introduction will start on Sunday the 14th of August. You will get to know the university, Nijmegen and the other English students in a spectacular and fun way. There will be four groups (blue, yellow, red and green balls) with five mentors. There will be a general program from the university and a program from your studies. The Program

Sunday

14:00: get your wristband at the refter (Erasmusplein) and proceed to Pieter Bondamplein (in front of het Cultuurcafé) where some of the mentors will help you guide you to the groups. If you’re lost please call one of out introduction committee members; telephone numbers can be found at the bottom of this page.

17:00 – 18:00:  the groups will be announced, and you will go to the city centre to eat and to get to know them.

20:00: at the Absolute Zero information will be given about some of the competitions.

Monday

10:30: introduction by the student advisor Joep Hermans and several teachers/professors. (TVA 2.00.13)

12:30: GAG/USA afternoon. You will get to know your studies associations.

20:30: pubcrawl. Get to know several pubs in Nijmegen, and win prizes with the games.

Tuesday

11:30 – 17:15: Sports day.

20:00: ‘Vossenjacht’, everybody has to be at the Absolute Zero before 20:00.

22:00: ‘Vijverenigingenfeest’.

Wednesday

11:00 or 12:00: English/American Breakfast.

15:00: rowing with Phocas.

17:00: eating and cantus at Ovum Novum.

Thursday

11:30: introduction about your classes by the teachers/professors. (TVA 2.00.13)

14:00: ‘boekenproject’

18:00: dinner and bowling at Ol’Round

Friday/Saturday/Sunday

Monday

11:00: ‘Mentorenverwenmiddag’.

18:00: Pubquiz and pizza at Absolute Zero.

Tuesday

13:30 – 17:30: RU in Town workshops.

19:30: Open Stage Night

22:00: ‘Slotfeest’.

Necessary

You will need a bicycle and a place to sleep in Nijmegen.
