On 15 December GAG will go to a a viewing of the movie Anonymous about Shakespeare. The film starts at 21:15 at LUX in Nijmegen. You will have to buy your own ticket when you get there. We will gather at 21:00 so be on time! We hope to see you there.

Like every year GAG will visit the Dickensfestijn in Deventer.

GAG Presents the first pubquiz of the year.

Books 2011
You can order your books at Studystore.
- Go to http://www.studystore.nl/webshop/
- Choose Nijmegen at ‘Plaats’
- Choose RU Letteren BA at ‘Instelling’
- Choose Blok 1 Engelse Taal en Cultuur at ‘Boekenlijst’

First year students will need almost all books with ‘BA1′ in the title.
For Oral Communication Skills and Phonetics you will only need your version. Do not order British and American for these subjects, just the pronunciation you chose. For American Studies students this is of course American, and the British version is for students who chose English Language and Culture.

Readers

Each year several readers will be available. Depending on your choice of subjects.
- Go to http://letteren.ru-bestel.nl/
- Log in with your studentnumber and password (which has been sent to you by the University)
- Choose “Bachelor 1″ (for first year students)
- Choose ‘Engelse Taal en Cultuur’ or ‘Amerikanistiek’ at ‘Opleiding’ (A drop down list)

You will see the readers that are available. You can order them and pay with iDeal. After a couple of days you will get an e-mail saying your order is ready. Take the order number with you to the Copyshop on campus (Thomas van Aquinostraat 2).

For now there are no readers available for the first year students who chose English Language and Culture, however there are readers available for American Studies first year students.

Dresscode: black/white tie (though we make an exception for kilts..)

Basically, there are two options

1. If you like to indulge in the munchies along with your friends, dates and fellow students and continue on to the Grand Ball, you can buy the Combo-Ticket for €25 (€30 for non-members) on the 10^th, 11^th and 12^th of May between 11.30 and 13.30 in the Refter. This ticket will grant you access to an awesome buffet, a spectacular act and lots of dancing.
2. If you’d only like to attend the Grand Ball, you can buy your Single-Ticket for €8 (€10 for non-members) on the 10^th, 11^th , 12^th and the 17^th, 18^th and 19^th of May between 11.30 and 13.30 in the Refter.

So start looking for that ab-fab outfit and saving your precious moneyzz!
