Great Anglo-Saxon Gobblers, that’s all very well, but who runs this association? That’s the task of the board, among other things. The board takes care of the daily business within G.A.G. and also represents G.A.G. at numerous events – ‘constitutie borrels’ and ‘Open Dagen’ for example.
The current board of G.A.G. consists of three members: Barbara Dauwerse (treasurer), Marlinde Zijl (secretary) and Mirte Keulen (chairwoman). We have been installed on the 7th of September and have been working hard ever since to make this year a great one for all our members. As the XXXIst board we try to continue the good our ancestors have done and add things of our own as well. Fortunately we don’t have to do this all by ourselves; we are helped by a legion of active members organized in committees that take care of formal and informal activities.

The new academic year (2010 – 2011) started with the new board. The 30th board (sixth lustre board) of G.A.G. consists of:
Karen Kuijpers — Chairwoman
Renate van Munster — Secretary
Josje Nijenhuis — Treasurer
The new board has big plans for G.A.G. this year. They are going to keep on professionalizing, they created the FACO (Formal Activities Committee), and they expanded the grand ball (gala) committee with an extra lustre ball and extra members.
During the academic year of 2009-2010, the three much wanted board positions were held by Chairman Leo de Voogd, Secretary Wieteke Kremer and Treasurer Vince Klösters. These three improved G.A.G. in many ways: professionally, but also cooperatively, since they renewed contact with the ‘Opleidingscommissie’ and other study associations, both in Nijmegen and elsewhere! They also instated committee leaders and almost multiplied the board funds by two.
